Khao Phanom Bencha National Park is 50 sq. km. in the middle of virgin rainforest about a half-hour ride northeast of Krabi. We took a taxi there and hiked a nature trail to waterfalls. Many native animals are reportedly in this area but we saw only a few lizards. Many of the trees are beautiful like this one with its massive buttresses.
